Hello all!
I would like to introduce myself: my name is Giorgia, I am Italian; however at the age of ten I moved to India (Bangalore) to follow my dad who had transferred his company. Since then I have been studying in Bangalore International School, now I am in 11th grade. (this is REALLY brief).
This blog has a purpose: to share with you my experiences and what I generally learn from my life.
I believe that everything I go through and every new day is something to learn from. Moreover, I felt an urge to find a way to show people what I do and how I am.
I can't predict how successful my blog is going to be, nor can I predict how satisfying it will be for me - but if you never try you'll never know, right?
Readers, you will get to know a lot about me post after post: to start with I will only say that I am a girl who has been dancing since the age of two. From jazz, to modern, to contemporary and finally ballet.
Dance to me, is literally indescribable. It is a form of expression, it is not only a hobby and something that gives me constant joy, but also a way to learn about myself.
Since I was born, I felt I was born to dance. There was something in that first step I took, a kind of rhythm, which followed me wherever I went. As I grew up I developed a response to music, it was a natural instinct for me to start moving my feet to any beat that passed me by.
The reason why I started dance classes as a child was not only because my parents noticed that I literally danced ALL THE TIME, but also for my own curiosity. As small as I was, I realized later that I felt a need to expand my knowledge on how to move better, to coordinate my body with sound and to be myself. After two years of classes, I received a gift from dance: self-expression and liberation of my emotions and thoughts one dance step at a time.

Dance let me play around with movements and rhythm and also enabled me to release stress during very hard times.
It has also helped me in understanding how to fix my mistakes, it has helped me explore what mistakes I make; not only in terms of dance steps, but also in life. Dance has made me emotionally stronger, more open minded, physically determined to sports and passionate about life.
Anyway, this probably won't be my only blog post about dance, there will be more. However, do not think my life only revolves around this art: there are many more revelations on the way!
